PRECAUTIONS FOR MAINTENANCE
PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING AT HIGH PLACES
When working at high places, use a step ladder or other stand to ensure that the work can be carried out safely.
PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING ON TOP OF MACHINE
Clean up the machine to prevent falling off when performing
maintenance, always do as follows.
Do not spill oil or grease.
Do not scatter the tools.
Be careful at the time of the walk on the step.
Remove mud and the oils and fats kind of the bottom of
shoes.
Never jump off the machine. When getting on or off the machine,
maintain at least 3-point contact (both feet and one hand, or both
hands and one foot) with the handrail and steps to ensure that
you support yourself.
To prevent personal injury caused by slipping or falling off the machine, never climb on the engine hood or covers
except the check passage with non-slip pads.
PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING UNDER MACHINE
Make sure the hoists or jacks you use are in good repair and
strong enough to handle the weight of the component. Never
use jacks at places where the machine is damaged, bent, or
twisted. Never use frayed, twisted or pinched wire rope. Never
use bent or distorted hooks.
If it is necessary to raise the work equipment or the machine and
then go under it to carry out inspection or maintenance, support
the work equipment and machine securely with blocks and
stands strong enough to support the weight of the work
equipment and machine.
If the work equipment and machine are not supported, there is
a hazard that they may come down and that this may lead to
serious personal injury or death.
Never use concrete blocks for supports. They can collapse
under even light loads.
PROPER TOOLS
Use only tools suited to the task and be sure to use the tools
correctly. Using damaged, deformed, or low quality tools, or
making improper use of the tools may cause serious personal
injury.
