Remove the bolts (1) (8 pieces) and remove the cover (2).

Check the belt.
If the belt shows the following state, it must be replaced.
• There is a vertical flaw (4) that crosses horizontal flaw
(3).
• There is a tear (5) on the belt.
Replacement is not required when only horizontal flaw (6)
is found on it.
3.
Install the cover (2) with bolts (1) (8 pieces).

WARNING
Do not open the cover while the engine is running. Stop the engine always before performing the check-
ing.
Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury.
Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
