15.9 Tubeless tire system

This vehicle makes use of a tubeless tire system in which a tubeless sealing profile

is
used instead of the conventional tube.
The advantage of the tubeless system is that there is no risk of a defective tube. This
greatly reduces the risk of a sudden loss in pressure.
The masses and moments of inertia of these wheels are smaller than in conventional spoke
wheels with a tube. This results in better handling and riding comfort.
The rigid rim design results in a spoke wheel that is almost entirely maintenance-free.
KTM recommends that the tubeless sealing profile be changed after 5 years at the latest,
regardless of the actual state of wear.
