Do not clean the air filter with fuel or petroleum since these substances attack the foam.
Preparatory work
– Remove the air filter box cover. ( p. 70)

Main work
– Wash the air filter thoroughly in special cleaning liquid and
allow it to dry properly.
Air filter cleaner ( p. 152)
Info
Only press the air filter to dry it, never wring it out.
– Oil the dry air filter with a high-grade air filter oil.
Oil for foam air filter ( p. 152)
– Clean the air filter box.
– Clean the intake flange and check it for damage and tightness.
Finishing work
– Install the air filter. ( p. 73)
– Install the air filter box cover. ( p. 71)
