9.24Checking the play in the Bowden cable using the reverse gear release lever

– Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position. Move the reverse gear release lever
back and forth slightly to ascertain the play in the Bowden cable .

» If the Bowden cable play on the reverse gear release lever does not agree with the
specifications:
– Adjust the play in the Bowden cable using the reverse gear release lever.

– Check that the Bowden cable is correctly laid from the reverse gear release lever.

– Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position.
– Release the nut  and using the screw , adjust the play of the Bowden cable  on
the reverse gear release lever.

– Tighten nut .
