BAdjusting Brake Pedal and Emergency
Hand Brake
To avoid personal injury:
A Stop the engine, remove the key, lower the
implement to the ground, and chock the wheels
before checking brake pedal.
A Even if the brake pedal free travel is within the
limitation, adjust the brake pedal following the
procedure below.
A If you are not able to adjust, consult your local
KUBOTA Dealer.
A Be sure to adjust the emergency hand brake after
adjusting the brake pedal.
C Adjusting Brake Pedal
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Loosen the lock nut and turn the turnbuckle to adjust
the rod length so that the brake pedal free travel is 10
mm.
3. Extend the turnbuckle one additional turn.
4. Retighten the lock nut.
5. Depress the brake pedal several times and make sure
the brake pedal free travel is from 25 to 35 mm.
C Adjusting Emergency Hand Brake
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Check if the free travel at the top of the hand brake
lever is from 0 to 10 mm. If not, adjust as follows:
A Loosen nut (1) and tighten nut (2) of the hand brake
lever cable so that the free travel of the hand brake
lever is 0 mm. Retighten nut (1).
3. Make sure that the free travel at the top of the hand
brake lever is 0 to 10 mm.
