Connecting and Printing
Configuration
The Configuration is a function of the KYOCERA Client Tool, and let you check and change printer settings.
Accessing the Configuration
Follow these steps to display the Configuration on the desktop.
1 Start the KYOCERA Client Tool as explained in Accessing the
KYOCERA Client Tool on page 2-10.
2 Click Configuration on the Device tab. The Configuration window
appears.

1 Device Defaults Tab*
The Device Defaults tab is used to select energy, units, error, timeout, and paper options.
Note Power off when does not appear on the FS-1040 for Europe, Russia, Africa and Middle East, and FS-
1041 for Europe.
Communication Tab**
The Communication tab is used to set a host name, select TCP/IP settings, and select SNMP settings.
•SNMP Traps Tab**
The SNMP Traps tab is used to select SNMP trap settings for 1 or 2 IP addresses.
Status Monitor Tab
The Status Monitor tab is used to select toner lever alert and event notification settings.
