1. From the home screen, scroll left or right to Call.
2. Press the Menu Select button directly below Call.
The display shows the last transmitted or received ID.
3. Press the Menu Select button directly below Cnts to scroll through and select the required ID.
OR
Press the Menu Select button directly below List to go to the first number of the call list.
OR
Scroll up or down and select the required ID.
OR
Use the keypad to enter the required ID.
4. Press the PTT button to start the Private Call.
The display shows Calling... <Number> OR Calling… <Alias>.
5. Hold the microphone vertically 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5.0 cm) from your mouth.
When you are connected, the display shows the ID of the target radio.
If no acknowledgement is received, the display shows No acknowledge.
If the target radio does not respond before the time out, the display shows No answer.
6. Press and hold the PTT button to talk. Release the PTT button to listen.
7. Press the Home button to return to the home screen.
