Table 22: Data transmission times
5.7.4 PDO transmission time consideration
For the configuration of the network it is helpful to estimate the time of data transmission.
According to the physical cable length the baud rate of the data transmission is limited. Furthermore the event timer interval indicates how often
PDOs are generated. The number of PDOs generated by the slave double the time required for these continues transmission.
In case of default PDO mapping (hosting 1 PDO with 4 byte position, 2 byte velocity and 1 byte for status data) the CAN message becomes
103…126 bits (depending on stuff bit count).
Baud rate [kbaud] Time [µs]
125 824…1004
250 412 … 502
500 206 … 251
1000 103 … 125.5
Data transmission times depends on the baud rate in the network assuming default PDO mapping.
5.7.5 Cam switch
The sensor enables a cam switch depending on the position of the magnet. When the magnet passes the switch position the cam is activated or
inactivated respectively.
