Photomicrographic magnification
Photomicrographic magnification = (PLI projection lens magnification)
× (Zoom magnification) × (Objective magnification)
• When the P-ICI2 Coaxial Episcopic Illuminator is used:
Photomicrographic magnification = (PLI projection lens magnification)
× (Zoom magnification) × (Objective magnification) × 1.5
• When the HR Plan Apo series objective is used:
Photomicrographic magnification = (PLI projection lens magnification)
× (Zoom magnification) × (Objective magnification) × 1.25

Attaching the beam splitter
Mount the beam splitter onto the zooming
body aligning the groove on the bottom of the
beam splitter with the positioning pin on the
zooming body while tilting the beam splitter
toward the rear. Tighten the eyepiece tube
clamp screw.
[P-IBSS2] Mount it so as to position the
port at either the left or right.
[P-IBSD2] 1) Mount it so as to position the
rear port at the rear.
2) Attach the side port to the
beam splitter main body with
the positioning pin on the
side port fitted into the
groove on the beam splitter
main body. Tighten the side
port clamp screw.
