3.2.5 Paper feed
Paper feeding is performed by turning the platen and the pin tractor, which is driven by the
LF
pulse
motor.
The paper feed mechanism consists of the following items:

Cut-sheet feed operation (See Figure 3-7.)
The pulse motor used for the paper feed mechanism is mounted on the left side of the printer
frame, and the rotation of the motor is transmitted through decelerating gears (idler gear,
platen gear) to the platen. The rotation of the platen is also transmitted to the tractor unit via
a transmission gear.
It is designed in such a way that if the stepping motor rotates 48 steps
(360”),
