Recording an FM/AM
broadcast program to an
MD
To record a very long program,
switch the recording mode.
(Refer to Step 2-4 on page 23.)
1 Insert an MD.
Refer to Step 1 on page 18.
Use a recordable MD.
2 Check the available recording time on the
MD.
Refer to Step 2 on page 23.
3 Select a recording mode.
Refer to Step 2-4 on page 23.
4 Select “FM” or “AM” for input.
5 Turn or repeatedly press MULTI JOG to
select a preset channel.
6 Press REC to set the FR-V77 into
recording standby mode.
7 Press MD (play/pause) to start
recording.

Numbering the desired song(s)
Press REC during recording of the desired song. If you do not
hold down
REC long enough (about four seconds or less), the
song may not be numbered.
If the FR-V77 does not
enter record stand-by
mode

Adjusting the recording
level
See page 29.
Turning Level Sync on or
off
See “Numbering the songs —
Level Sync” on page 31.
Tip!
During recording, you can
check the elapsed time and
remaining time on the MD
using the DISPLAY button (See
page 25).
Stopping recording
When the MD is recorded up to
the end, recording automatically
stops. To stop recording half
way, press MD
.
To pause recording
Press MD . The indicator
lights up on the display.
Press the button again to
resume recording from the
stopped point. At this time, the
track number increases by one.
