Connecting to an EasyTouch
®
Control System
The IntelliFlo
®
VS+SVRS Pump can be controlled by an EasyTouch system via the RS-485
communication cable (P/N 350122). In this conguration, EasyTouch control system starts, stops
and controls the speed of the pump. When the control system does this, it rewrites the pump’s
memory, which can take several seconds. This causes a delay after a command is given on the
EasyTouch system control panel until the pump physically responds.
The pump’s control panel is disabled when communicating with the control system. Note that
control system will not start communicating with the pump until the pump is assigned to a circuit.
The pump’s default pump address is one (1) which is the only address that works with EasyTouch
system. See page 10 for details about how to check the pump address and change if necessary. For
more information, refer to the EasyTouch User’s Guide (P/N 520584).
To connect the pump’s communication cable to EasyTouch system load center:
1. — Switch the main power off to the EasyTouch system load center.
2. Unlatch the two enclosure door spring latches, and open the door.
3. Remove the two retaining screws securing the high voltage cover panel, and remove it from
the enclosure.
4. Loosen the two access screws securing the control panel.
