SPAT
DESCRIPTION
A Spat is an assembly that acts as fenders over the
rear wheels of the 2, 4 and 6 passenger (e2, e4,
e6) vehicles. It is color keyed to match hood color.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the Trunkback/Golfback (if equipped).
See Trunkback/Golfback in this section.
2. If equipped with license plate light and tail
lights,
a) remove bench seat cushion.
b) follow wires to connectors located under
bench seat cushion, above rear batteries,
and disconnect.
3. Remove the 10 hex head bolts plastic caps.
4. Remove the 10-3/8” hex bolts that attach spat
to mounting brackets.
5. Carefully remove spat.
INSTALLATION
1. Carefully position spat on vehicle.
2. Install the 10-3/8” hex bolts that attach spat
assembly to mounting brackets.
3. Install the 10 hex bolts plastic caps
4. If vehicle is equipped with license plate light
and tail lights,
a) route the 2 wires over rear suspension
frame to connectors above rear batteries
and connect.
b) install bench seat cushion.
5. Install the Trunkback/Golfback (if equipped).
