5.4 Status/Force
Purpose
By implementing the MP270, it can be used to access the connected PLC
(SIMATIC S5 and SIMATIC S7) to read and write values online. PLC operands can
be monitored and modified easily without having to connect an additional
programming unit or PC to the PLC.
This facility is of special use during the testing and commissioning phases of the
configuration.
Condition
The following conditions must be fulfilled in order to access values in the PLC
directly from the MP270:
The connected PLC is a SIMATIC S5 or SIMATIC S7
The configuration contains the screen object
Status/Force
