A call can be made as follows:
1. Through the Contact or Call Log menus:
a. Go to the ‘Contact’ or ‘Call Log’ menus.
b. Use the ▲ and ▼ keys to select the contact you wish to call.
c. Press the PTT key to transmit the call.
2. Through manually dialling the number.
a. Use the keypad to enter the subscriber UID, TGID or PSTN number
required.
b. Press the PTT key to transmit the call.
4.6. RECEIVING A CALL
The Speaker Icon will be displayed when a valid signal is being received and audio will
be heard at the Loudspeaker.
The speaker icon will be shown as an outline when a signal is being received that is not
addressing this radio and hence, is not audible. For instance, another user group may
be having a conversation on another talk group when receiving in Selective Mute.
When receiving a private call, the icon will be displayed. When receiving a group call,
the icon will be displayed.(See Table 8)
When receiving a call, press the PTT key within the preset time period to call back.
4.6.1. Received Individual Calls
Unanswered received Individual calls addressed to the radio are stored in radio
memory.
The caller UID may be viewed, answered and deleted by the user as desired.
A newly received individual call addressed to the radio sounds an alert tone
periodically until the user presses any key.
