Understanding the Web Management Interface
The top and left sides of the Web management interface contain a Status menu and
submenus for selecting pages to configure the cable modem. When you click the Status
menu at the top, a set of submenus appears at the left side. The configuration settings
associated with the currently selected submenu appear in the workspace (see Figure 4-1).

Status > About
Shows information about the current system software.

Status > Connection
Shows the status of the cable modem's hybrid fibre-coaxial (HFC) and
Internet Protocol (IP) network connectivity.

Status > Security
Configures administration access privileges and the ability to restore
factory defaults to the system.

Status > Event Log
Displays the contents of the Simple Network Management Protocol
(SNMP) event log.

Logout
Ends your session and logs you off the web management interface. A
precautionary message does not appear when you click Logout, so be
sure you want to end your current session before clicking Logout.
