4. Troubleshooting
A. General Practice
Before troubleshooting the ACE Ground Power Unit and its associated components, the following areas
of the unit should be checked:
Engine Electrical System
The engine's electrical system should be in proper working order. Check the unit batteries, engine
sensors, and ECM (electronic control module) connections.
Engine Oil
The engine oil should be filled to the proper level and the engine oil pressure should normal.
Unit Electrical System
Check the battery disconnect switch, emergency stop switch, and F2 fuse. Check all electrical
connections for loose or broken wires.
E-F BYPASS
If testing on a load bank without E-F, it can be bypassed by holding the black selector knob in and
then pressing the power button. WARNING: This is disabling a safety feature and could increase
risk of electrical shock.
B. Troubleshooting Chart
This chart should be used in conjunction with the electrical schematics and connection diagrams to find
the problem and understand the remedy.
