#2 Output Load Contactor Operating Circuit (Optional)
1. The #2 400Hz contactor does
not close after the YELLOW
button is pressed and released
while the generator is running, or
A. Faulty wiring to the contactor
coil
A. Ensure that 24 VDC is present
at the X+ terminal of the
contactor. Ensure that the
contactor is properly connected to
“CONTACTOR STUCK”
B. Check the connections at the
auxiliary contacts (terminals 1 and
2) on the contactors. When the
contactor is closed, a 24VDC
signal will be sent to the GCM.
Apply 24VDC directly across the
output contactor coil (terminals X+
and Y- on K16 or K17). If the
contactor does not close, then
C. Apply 24VDC across the X+
and Y- terminals of the contactor.
If the contactor does not close, it
is faulty. Replace the contactor.
E. The aircraft is rejecting power.
E. Check the aircraft electrical
system.
F. Pins in the aircraft plug are
damaged, especially the E-F pins.
F. Check the plug terminals for
damage. Replace it if it is
G. There is a loose connection to
the E-F terminal block inside the
G. Tighten the fasteners that hold
the wire terminals to the E-F
H. The plug is not properly mated
to the aircraft receptacle.
H. Ensure that the plug is fully
inserted into the aircraft and try to
activate the output again.
