mo v ement, they should be immediately put bac k
into the transpor t cradle .
Important: T he booms can be dama ged by
transpor ting them in an y position other than
the “X” transpor t position using the boom
transpor t cradle.
T o put the booms bac k into the transpor t cradle ,
lo w er the boom(s) to the spra y position, and then
raise the boom(s) bac k into the transpor t position.
Mak e sure the boom cylinders are fully retracted
to prev ent actuator rod damag e .
Spraying
Important: In order to ensur e that y our
solution r emains w ell mix ed, use the a gitation
featur e whenev er y ou ha v e solution in the
tank. F or a gitation to w or k, the pump must
be on and the engine must be r unning a bo v e
an idle. If y ou stop the v ehicle and need
a gitation on, place the range selector in the
Neutral position, set the par king brak e, pr ess
the accelerator pedal to the floor , tur n on the
pump , and tur n the neutral engine speed lock
On.
Note: T his procedure assumes that the pump is
on from the Filling the Spra y T ank procedure .
1. Lo w er the booms into position.
2. Set the master boom switc h to the Off position.
T he Spra y Pro monitor will displa y “HOLD”.
3. Set the indi vidual boom switc hes , as needed, to
the On positions .
4. Dri v e to the location where y ou will be
spra ying .
5. T ur n the Spra y Pro selection dial to the
Application Rate position and use the
application rate switc h to ac hiev e the desired
rate . T o do this:
A. Ensure the pump is On.
B . With the brak e pressed, select the desired
g ear rang e then begin dri ving at maxim um
speed.
C . V erify the monitor displa ys the cor rect
application rate . If needed, manipulate the
application rate switc h until the monitor
displa ys the desired application rate .
D . R etur n to the location where spra ying is
to begin.
6. Set the master boom switc h to the On position
to begin spra ying .
Note: W hen the tank is nearly empty , the
agitation ma y cause foaming in the tank. In
this case , tur n the agitation control v alv e to the
3 o’cloc k position to tur n it off . Alter nati v ely ,
y ou can use an anti-foaming ag ent in the tank
(if compatible with the c hemical y ou are using).
7. W hen finished spra ying, set the master boom
switc h to the Off position to tur n off all
booms , then set the pump switc h to the Off
position.
Spraying Tips
• Do not o v erlap areas that y ou ha v e previously
spra yed.
• W atc h for plug g ed nozzles . R e place all w or n
or damag ed nozzles .
• Use the master boom switc h to stop the
spra y flo w before stopping the spra yer . Once
stopped, place the rang e selector in neutral and
use the neutral engine speed loc k to hold the
engine speed up to k ee p the agitation r unning .
• Y ou will obtain better results if the spra yer is
mo ving when y ou tur n the booms on.
• W atc h for c hang es in the application rate that
ma y indicate that y our speed has c hang ed
bey ond the rang e of the nozzles or there is a
problem with the spra y system.
Cleaning the Sprayer
Important: Y ou must al w ays empty and
clean the spray er immediatel y after each use.
F ailur e to do so may cause the chemicals to
dr y or thick en in the lines, clo g ging the pump
and other components.
T he rinse tank is located at the front, right side
of the tank ( Figure 26 ). If y ou install the optional
Rinse Kit, y ou can fill this tank with fresh w ater
and automatically rinse the main tank, boom
supply lines and nozzles .
