Note:Thereisnootherrecommendedwaytodrain
fuelfromthetank,otherthanusingasyphonpump.A
syphonpumpcanbepurchasedatahardwarestore.
DANGER
Incertainconditions,gasolineisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areorexplosion
fromgasolinecanburnyouandothersandcan
damageproperty.
•Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopenarea.
Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
•Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereasparkmay
ignitethegasolinefumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.Disengagethe
powertakeoff(PTO),settheparkingbrake,turnthe
ignitionkeytoOffandremovethekey.
2.Cleanaroundthefuelcaptopreventdebrisfrom
gettingintothefueltank(

3.Removethefuelcap.
4.Insertasyphonpumpintothefueltank.
5.Usingthesyphonpump,drainthefuelintoaclean
gascan(
Figure51).
6.Wipeupanyspilledfuel.

slidethemawayfromthelter(
