WithT oroSmartPowerâ„¢,youdonothaveto
listentotheenginespeedinheavyloadconditions.
SmartPowerpreventstheenginefrombogging
downinheavycuttingconditionsbyautomatically
controllingthemachinespeedandoptimizingcutting
performance.
IfT oroSmartPowerâ„¢isdisabled,youmustregulate
thetractionpedaltokeeptheenginespeed(rpm)
highandconstant.Thismustbeperformedsothat
enoughpowerismaintainedforthetractionunitand
implementwhileoperating.Decreasetheground
speedastheloadontheimplementincreases,and
increasethegroundspeedastheloaddecreases.
Allowthetractionpedaltomovebackwardasthe
enginespeed(rpm)decreases,andpressthepedal
slowlyastheenginespeedincreases.Bycomparison,
whendrivingbetweenworkareas,withnoloadand
thecuttingunitraised,setthethrottleinthehighest
positionandpressthetractionpedalslowly,butfully,
toattainmaximumgroundspeed.
Beforestoppingtheengine,disengageallcontrols
anddecreasetheenginespeedtoLOWIDLE(1,000
rpm).TurntheignitionkeytotheOFFpositiontoshut
offtheengine.
Beforetransportingthemachine,raisethecutting
unitsandsecurethetransportlatchesonthewing
cuttingunit(Figure66).
