ofthecuttingunit,removetheblockofwood.
2.Sitontheseat,starttheengine,andlowerthe
cuttingunituntilitisslightlyofftheoor.
3.Securetheheight-of-cutchainstotherearof
thecuttingunit.
4.Connectthedamperassemblyandsecureit
withtheretainerclip.

MeasuringtheCutting-UnitPitch
Themower-deckpitchisthedifferencebetweenthe
heightofcutfromthefronttipofthebladetotheback
tip.Setabladepitchof6.3to9.7mm(0.25to0.38
inch);i.e.,thebacktipofthebladeshouldbe7.5mm
(0.3inch)higherthanthefronttip.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekey.
2.Setthecuttingunittothedesiredheightofcut.
3.Ensurethatthewingletsareleveltothefront
deckandthefrontdeckislevelsidetoside.
