Preferred lifting method
• The preferred method for lifting an AFDH drive unit to position it for installation, is to use an
identical individual hoisting device at each lift point.

Alternative lifting method
• If it is only possible to use a single hoisting device to lift an AFDH drive unit to position it for
installation, a spreader bar should be used to allow adjusting the rigging as necessary to
balance the unit around its center-of-gravity to ensure full control of the unit during lifting.
