Oil pump bearing, overhaul
Special tools: 384 9641
In order to remove the oil pump, the timing gear and
crankshaft must be removed.
2. Use tool 384 9641. First screw the tool’s guide
pin (1) into the engine block.
Then put the new oil pump bearing (2) into the
tool block (3).
1. Drive out the oil pump bearing section (1) located
in the engine block. Tap it out from inside the
crankcase.
3. Place the tool block with the bearing in place, us-
ing the guide pin.
Tap in the bearing until the tool bottoms on the
engine block.
NOTE! It is important that the engine block sur-
face towards the tool is clean and even.
