Description
Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) of transformer oil is a recognized detection method for incipient
transformer faults. The CoreSense complements off-line lab DGA by providing real-time continuous
monitoring of hydrogen and moisture levels in transformer oil.
The CoreSense can also monitor additional parameters provided by external sensors connected to
optional analog inputs. The CoreSense provides a simple local indicator based on three LEDs that allow
the condition of transformers to be determined at a glance, e.g., if the three LEDs are green everything
is normal. All of the readings made by the CoreSense are also available on the built-in web interface and
published through analog outputs and through digital protocols such as Modbus, DNP3 and IEC61850.
