trip) of the transformer. Data monitoring is provided by means of a 4–20 mA analog output and Modbus RTU
communication protocol.
eWTI–Winding Temperature
The winding temperature is a crucial parameter to be monitored in large distribution transformers and
power transformers: this gives a fundamental understanding about the overall performances of equipment
by avoiding unacceptable thermal degradation and ensuring a longer lifetime. This instrument is designed
to measure the temperature of power transformer windings and may be fitted with up to five change-
over microswitches suitable for controlling cooling equipment and protection circuits (alarm and trip)
of the transformer. Data monitoring is provided by means of 4–20 mA analog output and a Modbus RTU
communication protocol.
SDB 10-40Salt Saturation
Moisture is a leading cause of transformer aging. The Self Dehydrating Breather (SDB) is a solution to
guarantee a consistent flow of dry air, out-performing both conventional breathers and alternative low-
maintenance solutions. The Self-Dehydrating Breather SDB family is the right choice to minimize the possible
risk of transformer outage due to insulation fluid impairment through moisture: due to its unique and proven
working principle, the air is always fully dehydrated because silicagel tanks are independent of each other
thus the regeneration process does not start simultaneously in the two tanks. Data monitoring is provided by
means of a 4–20 mA analog output and Modbus RTU communication protocol.
eDevices parameters
Table 16 provides the parameters that can be manually configured in the CoreSense Hub to set up the
Modbus RTU communication between the CoreSense Hub and the various eDevices.
