Isolation of power section
One of the DC/AC inverter modules, its LCL output filter and associated busbars and other
components can be disconnected from rest of the unit with the DC and AC contactors.
The inverter will automatically limit its output power to keep each operating power section
below its maximum output power limit. The capability of the inverter is reduced linearly
along with the disabled power sections.
Reduced run operation is used, for example, if there is a fault in one power sections. If the
fault cannot be resolved immediately, the operation of the other power section can be
restored to minimize loss of energy production.
