This chapter contains information for the maintenance and
decommissioning of the safety function.
Safety circuit maintenance
After the operation of the safety circuit is tested at start-up, it does
not need any scheduled maintenance during its specified lifetime.
It is a good practice to check the operation of the safety function when
other maintenance routines are carried out on the machinery. Include
this check in the routine maintenance program of the machinery that
the drive runs.
If you change any wiring or component after the start-up, replace the
FPTC-02 module, modify parameters, or restore parameters to their
factory default values:
• Use only ABB-approved spare parts.
• Register the change to the change log for the safety circuit.
