Response times
• FPTC-02 module: less than 10 ms
• SMT function: the response time of the PTC sensor + FPTC-02
module (< 10 ms) + FSO module (< 50 ms) + drive STO (< 50 ms)
Relevant failure modes
• The SMT function activates when not necessary (safe failure)
• The SMT function does not activate when requested
A fault exclusion on the failure mode “short-circuit on printed circuit
board” has been made (EN 13849-2, table D.5). The analysis is based
on the assumption that one failure occurs at one time. No
accumulated failures have been analyzed.
The failures of the PTC sensor (thermistor) are not included in the
failure analysis. The customer is responsible for the applicability of
the PTC element.
