Support for Externally Connected Accessories
Connection to External Intrinsic Safety System
The Intrinsic Safety System from Pepperl+Fuchs (manufacturer outside ABB)
is supported via S800 I/O modules and a special MTU.
The supported Intrinsic Safety System is the HiD Series 2000.
The S800 I/O modules are connected via MTU TU812/TU812V1, a standard cable
from Pepperl+Fuchs and a specific adapter board, one for each I/O module types
according to Table 8. The standards of cables - 0.2 m (0.66 ft) and 1.3 m (4.3 ft).
The maximum cable length is 100 m (109 yd).
