Control Function Star-Delta Starter
Use this function in a feeder that requires to start/stop a motor in one direction of rotation including the time- or current-cont-
rolled transition from star to delta.
Relay output DO0 is used by the control function to control the star contactor
Relay output DO1 is used by the control function to control the delta contactor
Relay output DO2 is used by the control function to control the main contactor.
Optionally DI0 can be used for contactor checkback supervision
Optionally DI4 can be used to start the motor and DI5 to stop it
Optionally DO3 can be used as fault output
The voltage dip function is not supported in this control function.
Adjust parameter YD changeover mode
Adjust parameter YD starting time. The switch over from Star (Y) to Delta (D) takes place earliest after 1 second.
The parameter YD starting time must therefore be set to at least 1 second.
The following diagram shows the UMC wired for star-delta operation. A signal lamp is connected to DO3 which serves as a fault
output. The motor contactors are connected to DO0, DO1 and DO2. Three auxiliary contacts are used for contactor checkback
monitoring. The motor can be started locally via DI4 and stopped via DI5. The remaining digital inputs can be freely used.

Parameters for √3-circuitry
Current Ie1 = nominal current
Current factor = 173 (in case of a current transformer: 173 x transmission ratio)
