  If your Acer Laptop screen is blank, first, make sure the internal display is selected and that the laptop has power (check for fan activity or lit status LEDs). Then, drain any stored power by disconnecting the power cable and battery, and holding the power button for 10 seconds. Connect an external monitor to check the display output, switching between the internal and external display. Also, disconnect all external devices, including docking stations. Reseat the memory modules and remove the drives.
