1. On your desktop, right-click My
Network Places and select
Properties.
2. Double-click the Local Area
Connection.
3. Click Properties.
4. On the General tab, select Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) and click
Properties.
5. Select Use the following IP address
and enter an IP address and Subnet
mask for your computer using the
example shown or enter your own
address.

6. Click OK.
7. Record the IP address and subnet mask in the Network Worksheet on the back cover.
8. Click OK.
