At the main disconnect switch, place one meter lead on
the phase that connects directly to the heating element.
Place the second meter lead on the line side terminal of
the circuit breaker for the phase that connects to the
SSR. Measure the AC voltage across the two phases.
Does the voltage correspond to the voltage printed on
the serial number tag?
No
Repair or replace the wiring from
the main disconnect switch to the
circuit breaker for the phase that
connects to the SSR.
Yes
At the main disconnect switch, place the meter lead on
the phase that connects directly to the heating element.
Place the second meter lead on the load side terminal of
the circuit breaker for the phase that connects to the
SSR. Measure the AC voltage across the two phases.
Does the voltage correspond to the voltage printed on
the serial number tag?
No
Reset or replace the circuit
breaker.
Yes
At the main disconnect switch, place the meter lead on
the phase that connects directly to the heating element.

the chamber high limit for the phase that connects to
the SSR. Measure the AC voltage across the two phases.
Does the voltage correspond to the voltage printed on

No
Repair or replace the wiring from
the circuit breaker to the chamber
high limit.

At the main disconnect switch, place the meter lead on
the phase that connects directly to the heating element.
Place the second meter lead on the load side terminal of
the chamber high limit for the phase that connects to
the SSR. Measure the AC voltage across the two phases.
Does the voltage correspond to the voltage printed on
the serial number tag?
No
Reset or replace the chamber high
limit.
Yes
At the main disconnect switch, place the meter lead on
the phase that connects directly to the heating element.
Place the second meter lead on the L1 terminal of the
SSR. Measure the AC voltage across the two phases.
Does the voltage correspond to the voltage printed on
the serial number tag?
No
Repair or replace the wiring from
the chamber high limit to the SSR.
Yes
Is the LED illuminated on the SSR?
No

SSR. Measure the AC voltage across the two phases.

Replace the SSR.
