u Hold the adjuster (6) with the appropriate
Allen wrench and tighten the lock nut (5), by
means of the appropriate Allen wrench, to
its appropriate tightening torque.
Lock nut (5) tightening torque: 28.93 ftlb
(40 Nm).
CAUTION
Adjust the spring preload and the
extension damping according to your
preference, and how the vehicle is used.
When the spring preload is increased, it is
necessary to also increase the extension
damping to avoid unsteady shock action.
If necessary, contact your Local aprilia
Dealer.

Never loosen, or remove the screw
