Release button 1 within two
seconds.
The ABS warning light re-
mains off or continues to
flash.
ABS function is switched on.
As an alternative, the ignition
can also be switched off and
then on again.
If the ABS light continues
to light up after switching
the ignition off and then on again,
an ABS fault has occurred.

Operation
The BMW Motorrad ASC can be
both deactivated and activated,
as well as being switched over
into an offroad mode ( 80) for
driving on rough gravel and loose
sand.
If no ASC symbol is shown, the
ASC is active.
If this symbol is shown, the
offroad ASC is active.
If this symbol is shown, the
ASC is switched off.
Operating sequence:
Switch over ASC to offroad
ASC
Switching off ASC
Switching on ASC
Switching ASC function
over and off
Switch on ignition.
The ASC function can
also be deactivated while
driving.
To switch over to offroad ASC,
press and hold button 1 until
ASC symbol changes its ap-
pearance.
The offroad ASC symbol is
displayed; if self-diagnosis
is not completed, offroad ASC
symbol flashes.
Release button 1 within two
seconds.
The offroad ASC symbol
continues to be displayed
or continues to flash.
Offroad ASC is activated.
