Headlight
Adjusting headlight for
RHD/LHD traffic
The motorcycle is equipped with
a symmetrical low-beam head-
light, and can therefore also be
used without modification in
countries which drive on the op-
posite side of the road as in the
country of registration.
Headlight range and
spring preload
The headlight range generally
remains constant due to the ad-
justment of the spring preload to
the loading state.
Spring preload adjustment may
only be insufficient when the mo-
torcycle is very heavily loaded.
In this case, the headlight range
must be adjusted to the weight.
If you are unsure whether
the basic headlight setting
is correct, consult a specialized
workshop, preferably an autho-
rized BMW Motorrad retailer.
The headlight height can be ad-
justed with the screws 2 on the
left and right below the side pan-
els and the screw 3. To ensure
correct adjustment, it should be
carried out by a specialized work-
shop, preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad retailer.
