7-2-8. Adjustment after the Print Head has been replaced
If the printed image is unclear (double lines, grained image, etc.) then the print head timing may need to be
adjusted. Not only after the Print Head is replaced, but also after exchanging the Platen Sheet, mounting the
modified Platen and so on.
(1) Make sure your printer is connected to your PC with USB 2.0 cable.
(2) Prepare some sheets of paper (white and colored paper, or clear plastic plate to confirm the print quality) and
tapes to fix on the Platen and a dark-colored T-shirt (better to be pretreated).
(3) Execute [ GT-3 Maintenance ] in [ Brother GT-3 GT-Tools ].
(4) Select [ Firing Adjustment ] and click [ Next ]. Follow the steps indicated in the dialog. After adjustment,
select [ White/Color Alignment ] to confirm the alignment.
(5) The dialog goes back to the main menu shown above. Click [ Close ] button to finish.
