Mode is set to
(playback).
z Press the shutter button halfway, or
press / button to switch to
the shooting mode (Basic Guide
p. 7).
Flash is charging. z When the flash is charged, the
indicator will light orange. Shooting
is now possible (Basic Guide p. 4).
Memory card is full. z Insert a new memory card (Basic
Guide p. 5).
z If required, download the images to
a computer and erase them from
the memory card to make space.
Memory card is not
formatted correctly.
z Format the memory card (p. 25).
z If reformatting does not work, the
memory card logic circuits may be
damaged. Consult the nearest

SD memory card or
SDHC memory card is
write protected.
z Slide the write protect tab upward
(p. 98).
Image seen in viewfinder vs. recorded image.
Usually the recorded
image contains more of
the scene than is seen in
the viewfinder.
z Confirm the actual image size with
the LCD monitor. Use the LCD
monitor when taking close-up shots
(p. 12).
