14. PERIODIC SERVICE
Sc2450 Operator’s Manual
Always complete the designated daily checkpoints
before attempting to start or operate the tractor.
Failure to complete these checkpoints could result in
personal injury or decrease the service life of the
tractor and its parts.
To avoid personal injury:
●Before attempting to check or service the
tractor, always make sure it is on a level surface,
the engine is shut off, the parking brake is
engaged, and full weight of the implement is on
the ground.
■ Visual Checks
Before service or operation, always check under and
around the tractor for parts that may have come loose,
build-up of grease or dirt, leakage, and broken or worn
parts.
■ Refill the Fuel Tank
IMPORTANT: Avoid damage.
●NEVER use a galvanized container to store fuel.
Diesel fuel in a galvanized container reacts with the
zinc coating in the container to generate zinc flakes.
If the fuel contains water, a zinc gel will also occur.
The zinc gel and flakes will quickly clog the fuel filter
and damage the fuel injection nozzle and fuel pump.
Diesel Fuel Specifications
Diesel fuel should comply with the following
specifications. The table lists several worldwide
