Method of Error
Detection
An error is determined with the high-voltage fan motor rotation speed detected by the Hall IC.
Error Decision
Conditions
 The fan does not start in 30 seconds even when the fan motor is running.
 If the error repeats, the system is shut down.
 Reset condition: Continuous run for about 5 minutes without any other error

 Disconnection of the fan motor
 Foreign matter stuck in the fan
 Defective fan motor
 Defective outdoor unit PCB

Turn on the power.
Rotate the fan.
Check No. 16
Check the rotation pulse input on
the outdoor unit PCB (main PCB).
Turn off the power and
reconnect the connector.
Remove the foreign
matters.
Replace the outdoor fan
motor.
Replace the outdoor unit
PCB (main PCB).
Fan motor
connector disconnected?
Foreign matters
in or around the fan?
Replace the outdoor fan
motor.
Fan rotates
smoothly?
Pulse signal
generated?
Be sure to turn off the power switch before connecting or disconnecting
connectors, or parts may be damaged.
