6-3. GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
6. PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USE
1 Occasionally make sure that the
power plug is not abnormally hot.
If the power plug is abnormally hot, contact
your nearest dealer.
2 Make sure that the power cord is not
frayed nor scratched.
3 Connect the power plug to the
electrical outlet properly upon use.
4 When not using the unit over a long
period of time, turn on its power
occasionally.
The unit has a built-in battery to protect the different
types of data registered.
The battery is used when the power of the unit is
off. (It will be used even if there is nothing
registered.) It is charged when the power is on.
As the data registered and set will be lost when the
battery has worn out, be sure to keep a copy of it.
The battery will wear out when the unit has been
left off continuously for about three months. Turn
on the power occasionally to charge it.
