ToconnectaVTSeriesterminaltoanEnterasysswitchConsoleport(Figure 3‐11),usea
UTPserialinterfacecableterminat edwithaDB9femaleconnectorandaDB25female
connectorandproceedasfollows:
1. ConnecttheDB9femaleconnectoratoneendofcabletotheConsoleporton
the
Enterasysswitch.(Ifthereisaswitchdesignatedasthe Manager,connecttoits
Consoleport.)
2. PlugtheDB25femaleconnectorattheotherendofthecableintotheportlabeled
COMMontheVTterminal.
3. TurnontheterminalandaccesstheSetupDirectory.Setthefollow ingparameterson

yourterminal:
Whentheseparametersareset,theStartupscreenwilldisplay.Proceedto“Connectingto
theNetwork”onpage 3‐22.
