• When diagnosing engine noise complaints,
such
as
turbo whine, you must first check
to
see
that all sound insulating material
is
in place
as
shown in accompanying
photos.
• T
he
material is in the fender and mounted
between the fender and the A·piller and
is
used
to
isolate the engine compartment
from the vehicle's interior.
There should not
be
any
holes or gaps
between the A-piller and the fender.
