Integrated Keyhead Transmitter
The integrated keyhead transmitter is designed so
customerswon’taccidentallyactivatethepanic
alarm while inserting or removing the key from the
ignition or their pocket. To avoid any confusion or
unnecessary repair visits, review these features with
your customers:
• Lock/unlockfunctionsworkthesameas
traditional Ford key fobs
• Toactivatethepanicalarm,pressandholdthe
button for 1.5 seconds or longer
• Tousethe“carfinder”feature,pushtheLock
button twice in 3 seconds
• Hornwillchirpandthevehicleturnsignalswill
flash once

MAKE THE POINT: Rear Door Locks
Customersmaynoticethe2013Escapedoes
nothavedoorlockknobsontheinterior.When
conductingawalkaround,oratest-drive,besure
toshowthecustomerhowthereardoorsare
unlockedandopenedfromtheinside.Asingle
pulloftheinteriordoorhandleunlocksthedoor
andasecondpullontheinteriorhandleopensthe
door.Ifautounlockisactivatedandthedriverdoor
isopened,thedoorswillautomaticallyunlock,
makingonlyasinglepullofthedoorhandleneeded
toopenthedoor.Thereardoorswillnotopenifthe
rear-doorchildsafetylocksareactivated.
