Integrated Keyhead Transmitter
The integrated keyhead transmitter is designed so
customerswon’taccidentallyactivatethepanic
alarm while inserting or removing the key from the
ignition or their pocket. To avoid any confusion or
unnecessary repair visits, review these features with
your customers:
• Lock/unlockfunctionsworkthesameas
traditional Ford key fobs
• Toactivatethepanicalarm,pressandholdthe
button for 1.5 seconds or longer
• Tousethe“carfinder”feature,pushtheLock
button twice in 3 seconds
• Hornwillchirpandthevehicleturnsignalswill
flash once

to the vehicle Owner Guide.
MAKE THE POINT: Rear Door Locks
Customersmaynoticethe2013Escapedoes
nothavedoorlockknobsontheinterior.When
conductingawalkaround,oratest-drive,besure
toshowthecustomerhowthereardoorsare
unlockedandopenedfromtheinside.Asingle
pulloftheinteriordoorhandleunlocksthedoor
andasecondpullontheinteriorhandleopensthe
door.Ifautounlockisactivatedandthedriverdoor
isopened,thedoorswillautomaticallyunlock,
makingonlyasinglepullofthedoorhandleneeded
toopenthedoor.Thereardoorswillnotopenifthe
rear-doorchildsafetylocksareactivated.
