XV. RESET FUNCTION
This function is used to reset Smoke Detectors, Zone Troubles, and Zone Tampers.
1.
Disarm the system if it is not already disarmed.
2.
Press

. Resets have now been performed.
3.
If the keypad begins beeping, the reset did not execute properly. Enter your
code to silence the keypad. Wait a few minutes and repeat step 2 to attempt
another reset. If the keypad still beeps after repeated attempts, please contact
your installer.
XVI. READING THE EVENT LOG
The control panel has an event log that can be retrieved using a master code. This log
contains a listing of the events along with date, time, and partition where the event
occurred.
1.
To view the log, press

. The LCD screen will prompt for a code.
2.
Enter a
MASTER CODE
. The LCD screen will now show the most recent
event.
3.
To view the events from most recent to the oldest, press
y
.
4.
To view the events from the oldest to the newest, press
x
. The display
contains the following information.

User or Zone ID
Date

Indicates partition
(Month/Day)
ß
Time shown in and
U
indicates an
24 hour format event not reported
This screen shows an opening of Partition 3 on September 25
th
at 5:27 p.m. by user 75.
The
À
shows that this event is not programmed to be reported to the central monitoring
station. Refer to Appendix A on page 28 for a list of possible log messages.
