The ice box thermistor is located on the inside of the
wire harness cover
Silicone Grease
To replace the ice box thermistor:
1. Place the replacement thermistor next to the
original thermistor.
2. Cut the wiring at a location that will match the
original length when the replacement thermistor
is spliced to it.
3. Use plastic bell connectors (Part # WR01X10466).
Fill each connector with silicone grease then
splice a new thermistor into the harness as
shown in the illustration.
Note: Service kit supplied with heat seal connectors.

Auger Motor
The auger is rotated by utilizing a DC reversible
motor that is located inside the left-side refrigerator
door. It is necessary to remove the ice bucket to
replace the auger motor.
To remove the auger motor:
1. Remove the wire harness cover. (See Icemakers,
follow steps 1 thru 3.)
2. Disconnect the auger motor wire harness.
3. Remove the two 5/16-in. hex-head screws that
attach the auger motor to the ice box.
Note: As shown below, the coupling rotates
clockwise for crushed ice and counterclockwise for
cubed ice.
