6. Installation of electrical devices
6.1 Safety tips
The installation of electrical devices in the HOB-
BY camper have been carried out in accordance
with the valid regulations and norms.
Please note:
• Do not remove safety tips and warnings on
the electrical equipment.
• The installation spaces for electrical equip
ment such as distribution fuse boards, elec
tric power supply, etc., may not be used
as additional storage spaces.
• If the vehicle is equipped with a battery:
Only accumulators with bound electrolytes
(gel battery) may be installed.
• Turn off all equipment that uses 12 V before
connecting or disconnecting the battery.
• Only authorised specialists may work on the
electric system.
• Improper instalment of electrical devices can
endangeryourlifeandcauseres.
• Use only a 3 x 2.5 mm

cable with a maximum
length of 25 m, a CEE plug and connector to
connect the camper to an external 230 V
mains. Cable drums must be completely un
wound, as otherwise there is a great risk that
thecablemayburn(recausedbyinduction,
which results in the cable's heating up).
• In Europe, all owners of camping grounds
are obliged to provide residual current oper
ated devices for electric cables. However, we
recommend that you connect a residual cur-
rent operated device in series to your cable.
This also applies for exterior electric sockets
on houses.
