CLUTCH/STARTER CLUTCH/KICKSTARTER/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
RIGHT CRANKCASE COVER
REMOVAL
Remove the following:
- Brake pedal (page 16-24)
-
Right engine guard (pa ge 3-5)
Drain the transmission oil (page 4-23),
D ra in the coolant (page 7 -71.
R emove the bolt and kickstarter pedal.
Remove the bolts, wate r hose joint and D-ring.
Loosen the right crankcase cover bolts in a criss-
cross pattern in two or three steps.
Remove the bolts, hose g uid e, hose clamp an d right
crankcase cover.
Remove
the water by- pass pipe and D-ring.
Remove the gasket and dowel pins.
Check th e kickstarter spindle oil seal for deter i ora-
tion or damage.
Apply grease to the kickstarter spindle oil seal lips.
